Department of Statistics welcomes applications for M.S. in Interdisciplinary Statistics.
The program is aimed at training non-Statistics majored students in fundamental understanding, intuition, and theory of Statistics as well as statistical data analysis and modeling.
Considering that statistics is central to the researches in all the fields including but not limited to engineering (such as civil, mechanical, industrial), biological sciences, medicine, cancer research, environmental sciences, chemistry, physics, sociology, psychology, archaeometry, economics, finance, and marketing, the M.S. degree in Interdisciplinary Statistics offers a unique opportunity for the students to gain a statistical power to make meaning out of the data that they encounter in their major field of expertise.
