For the departmental elective courses, you need to fill out the application forms that will be available on September 24, 2025, at 09.00 a.m.

We offer four departmental courses to undergraduate students:

• STAT 438 Sports Data Science by Barış Sürücü

• STAT 493 New Horizons in Statistics by Özlem İlk
• Capacity: 30
• Selection will prioritize applicants by class year and CGPA.
• In the weeks when guest professors from the United States will be joining the course, the class will take place on Mondays from 18:00 to 20:50. Therefore, students are kindly asked to keep both the Monday evening times and the regular Tuesday class hours available for STAT 493 sessions.
• STAT 495 Applications in Statistics by Burçak Başbuğ Erkan
• Capacity: 12, CGPA: min 3.00

• Only students who wish to work on risk management should apply.

• STAT 499 Undergraduate Research by Ayşen D. Akkaya
• Capacity: 10, CGPA: min 2.70

Please, fill out the forms by September 25, 2025, at 11.00 A.M.

The lists will be announced on September 25, 2025, at 2.00 P.M. You can register for the course if your name is on the announced list. Your registration can be completed during the registration week or the add-drop week. If you cannot register for the course during the registration week, please contact your instructor so that he/she can add you to the ODTUClass manually before the add-drop week for you to follow the courses.
